Visits to Antalya by Our Chairman Mehmet Özdil: Small Businesses, Manufacturing, and the Agriculture Initiative

Mr. Mehmet Özdil, Founding President of the International Tradesmen’s Union (UEB), visited the UEB Antalya Provincial Branch, the Antalya Barbers’ Association, and the Kepez District Governor’s Office as part of his visits to Antalya. During the visits, topics such as bulk purchasing, free e-commerce, agriculture, and grant incentive projects were discussed.

As the International Tradespeople’s Union (UEB), we are continuously carrying out fieldwork to enhance the global competitiveness of our tradespeople, producers, and farmers and to support regional development. Our President, Mr. Mehmet Özdil, held a series of strategic meetings in Antalya as part of our organizational and project follow-up efforts.

Organizational Activities and Project Planning

Our General President, Mr. Mehmet Özdil, began his Antalya program by visiting our UEB Antalya Provincial President, Mr. İsmail Öz, and reviewed our work program and field activities in the region. During the meeting:

• Bulk Purchasing Systems: Joint procurement models to reduce input costs for our small business owners,

• Free E-Commerce: Integration of our members into digital markets,

• Grants and Incentives: National and international funding opportunities,

• Cooperation and Agriculture: Support mechanisms for our small business owners in the fields of production and agriculture were detailed.

Visit to the Antalya Barbers’ Chamber and the Kepez District Governor’s Office

Following his meetings with provincial leaders, our General President Mehmet Özdil visited Mr. Yüksel Uzun, President of the Antalya Barbers’ Chamber of Tradesmen and Artisans, to discuss the challenges faced by our members, our organizational structure, and proposed solutions. During the meeting, the projects of our member tradespeople in the fields of production and agriculture were discussed, and steps to be taken to implement these investments were agreed upon.

As part of the program, our General President also met with Mr. Suat Dervişoğlu, the District Governor of Kepez, and discussed the city’s economy and the situation of our tradespeople.

Following the visits, our General President, Mr. Mehmet Özdil, issued a statement, saying:

"As part of our Antalya program, we first visited Mr. İsmail Öz, the Antalya Provincial Chairman of the International Tradespeople’s Union (UEB), to review our work plan. We held a series of meetings on bulk purchasing, free e-commerce systems, grants and incentives, the formation of cooperatives, and the fields of production and agriculture.

We then visited Mr. Yüksel Uzun, President of the Antalya Barbers’ Chamber of Tradesmen and Artisans. We had productive discussions regarding the challenges faced by our tradespeople, the organizational structure, and proposed solutions. We listened to the projects of our member tradespeople in the fields of trade, production, and agriculture, and provided feedback aimed at paving the way for these projects and contributing to their implementation.

As part of our program, we also met with Mr. Suat Dervişoğlu, the District Governor of Kepez, and discussed Ümraniye and Antalya. I would like to thank Mr. Yüksel Uzun, President of the Antalya Barbers’ Chamber of Tradesmen and Artisans, for his gracious hospitality and thoughtful gift.
